My name is Julia Muehl and I am currently a junior at Taylor University. I am a Public Relations major who loves to talk, laugh and sing a little too much.
As I entered my fall semester classes, one of my professors assigned us the task of doing a weekly blogs, but I'm not just doing it for class, I've had the idea of a blog on my heart for so long!
I am so excited to give you a little glimpse into my brain and take you along some more challenging conversations.
So, buckle up and let's tackle them together!
Julia Muehl is currently in her junior year at Taylor University studying Public Relations. Alongside her studies, Julia is quite active on campus. She is presently a Personnel Assistant for her wing. With this responsibility, she is in charge of planning events, handling conflicts and developing a community and structure for her wing.
Alongside of this, she is also on the executive cabinet for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). In this position, she plans events for her campus, is the social media manager for their Instagram accounts and as the historian, will be photographing the planned events.
Over the summer, she was an Assignment/Web Desk Intern at WISH-TV Channel 8, in which she wrote and published articles on their website, continuously updated the company’s website and YouTube channel with other’s content, shadowed many reporters and reached out to numerous organizations to arrange interviews for the station.
In Julia’s high school career, she was the National Honors Society (NHS) Officer for event coordinating, which strengthened her skills and passions. She also co-founded and ran a nonprofit organization with two other individuals to raise money for an orphanage in South Florida. With these previous experiences, she found her love for people, leadership, planning and vulnerability.
